Suggestions sought

Swiss Semester would like to maintain an alumni webpage(s) in order to enable each class to continue those ties that were forged at Swiss Semester and to keep the Swiss Semester family together! As well, the site might become a professional resource for Swiss Semester alumn. We would appreciate your further thoughts and suggestions (e-mail Swiss Semester).

Sad News

The Swiss Semester family was tremendously saddened to hear of the tragic death of Mike Franz (SS '95). We would like to send our condolences to his family and fiancee. As his Swiss Semester classmates will attest, Mike made everyone smile and laugh as seen here when many of his Swiss Semester class got together for their tenth reunion.

Those who would like to make contributions on Mike's behalf are asked, per suggestion of his family, to make donations to the Brown University ultimate frisbee team. Swiss Semester will honor his memory with an annual Swiss Semester ultimate frisbee tournament and partial scholarship to a student in 2008.

After twenty-five years as "the crepe lady," Gerri is being asked to vacate her shop. She has been serving Swiss Semester students for almost all of those years! At the time of this writing, Gerri is not sure whether or not she will remain in Zermatt or return to Syndey, Australia. She would likely appreciate hearing from you. (e-mail Gerri Franzen)
